Our rigs work so hard at our job sites that when they arrive back at our shop, they generally need a little freshening up!
At the beginning of 2017, our Shop Crew grabbed their paint rollers to make over four of our rigs. A single rig typically requires one coat of primer and two coats of paint, using about four to five gallons each. Up to four MeNERDs can be painting at any one time, and it takes about a day and half to dry.
But you know how your prep work is maybe just washing down a wall for 15 minutes before you paint? Our process is a little more intense!
A dirty rig takes two MeNERDs pressure washing for up to eight hours to prep- plus they'll chip all the concrete off, remove all of the hardware (including door handles, weather stripping, glass and ladder), rough sand the operator's cabin and rig undercarriage and then blow the dust off.
FINALLY, they'll wipe it down with a solvent to make sure the surface is free of dirt and grease. They start at the highest point and work down. Once it's dry, they have to put everything back together again...and step back to admire their work!
There are no upcoming events at this time. Please check back soon as something is always in the works!
